Health Insurance Options
All employees who are in three-quarter or full-time permanent positions are eligible to participate in one of three Preferred Provider Options (PPO) plans offered through the State Medical Plan. The monthly premium for employee only is fully paid by the University in all but one of the options (SmartChoice Plus). An employee/spouse option is available through the PPO.

Important Reminders
- Health insurance benefits begin the first of the month following an employee's first pay check.
- All Medical forms must be completed and returned to the Benefits Office within 30 days of your hire date.
- New Employees should complete the New Employee Online Orientation in order to obtain the necessary Medical forms
